Kiwi striker Elliott Collier signs for Indiana club in USL Championship

Out-of-favour All Whites forward Elliott Collier has signed for second-tier American club Indy Eleven.

Hamilton-born Collier (28) joins the USL Championship club from San Diego Loyal SC.

It will be Collier’s second spell at the Indianapolis-based Indy Eleven as he played there in 2018 in a loan deal with his then-club Chicago Fire. He’s also had spells with San Antonio FC and Memphis 901 FC.

Overall, the 6′ 4″ Collier has scored 13 goals and made four assists in 83 appearances in the USL Championship, playing a total of 4,503 minutes in regular season and play-off games.

He last played for the All Whites in 2019 and has been US-based for seven years.

A graduate of the Olé Football Academy, Collier’s New Zealand clubs included Hamilton Wanderers, Waikato United and Wellington’s Island Bay United.
