Danny Hay’s Perth club makes Melville teen his third signing from New Zealand

Former All Whites coach Danny Hay has recruited a third player from New Zealand for his Perth SC club, signing age group international Matthew D’Hotman from Melville United.

Hay’s club announced they had signed D’Hotman (17) from the Waikato-based Northern League club.

D’Hotman has represented New Zealand at U-17 level, and played at the 2023 FIFA U-17 Men’s World Cup.

Hay had already signed defender Jack Cawley (31) from Wellington Olympic and Christchurch-born defender Ben Stroud (25) who had been playing in Finland’s third-tier competition as the captain of FC Jazz.

Hay is building his squad for West Australia’s Perth SC, who play in Australia’s second-tier competition, the National Premier League Western Australia.
