WaiBOP stage series of workshops to develop women’s and girl’s strategies

WaiBOP Football are staging a series of workshops in their region to help develop strategies to drive the future direction of girls and women’s football.

The workshops will be facilitated by WaiBOP Football’s legacy manager, Alida Shanks, and Holly Payne, former NZ Football’s women’s development manager, who is leading the development of WaiBOP’s strategic plan.

The workshops started with a Hamilton-based session on February 17 and will continue till late March.

Participants are welcome to share their thoughts and suggestions on the future of women’s and girl’s football in the WaiBOP region by registering to attend a workshop.

The workshops aim to help understand the current landscape of women and girls’ football in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, aided by the findings of the WaiBOP Football legacy survey carried out in 2023.
