Here’s your guide to this weekend’s fixtures — and all on one page

posted in: Events, News

Whether you’re planning to get your football fix live at a ground in Auckland or by watching it on a screen, there’s plenty of choices for fans in the north this weekend.

Auckland City are one game away from an OFC Champions League final while the Junior Ferns take on three-time winners Germany at the U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Locally, there are some crucial games to be played in the Northern and Lotto NRFL leagues.

Make your choices, love your football and have a great weekend!

Worth noting:

  • There are three excellent games to watch either via streaming or on subscriber television. Saturday’s Northern League match between Auckland United and Melville United will be streamed, as will Auckland City’s OFC Champions League semi-final with Central Coast on Sunday. Sky Sport will broadcast the Junior Ferns game against Germany from the U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Sunday (5am NZT).
  • This weekend, the NRF Women’s Championship splits into two tiers — a finals mini-league called the Championship Finals, and a five-team Women’s Conference (click here for details).
  • Papatoetoe’s home game against Uni-Mount Bohemian in the NRF Men’s Championship is part of the club’s annual ‘Old Boys & Girls Day’, bringing together players, members and supporters from the past and present (click here for details).
