Friends and family will celebrate the life of former All White Ian Ormond at a memorial service to be held in Auckland on Friday October 7, 2022.
Ormond, a former New Zealand football Player of the Year, died on October 8, 2021, aged 72, but restrictions forced by the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted plans for his service.
Rather than host the event at a time when restrictions would be placed on the numbers attending and the requirement for masks, his family decided to reschedule the memorial till the first anniversary of his death.
The service will be held at the Purewa Cemetery and Crematorium, in St John’s Road, Meadowbank.
It will start at 12-noon.
Communications with the Ormond family can be made through Christine Ormond at christine@gregory.net.nz.
