Wanderers seek head coach for 2023 Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League campaign

Hamilton Wanderers are seeking expressions of interest for the role of head coach for the club’s Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League squad for 2023.

The club’s coach last season, Scott Bult, has opted to return to his role leading female football development at the club, after leading Wanderers to its first Kate Sheppard Cup final and retaining the side’s place in the WPL.

The club says Bult will remain involved in the women’s Northern League programme and coaching group, as its reserve team head coach.

In its announcement, the club says: “The club wishes to thank Scott for his outstanding commitment and contribution to our women’s programme in 2022 and look forward to him continuing his work developing our young female footballers and also playing a key role in the establishment of our first girls’ academy at the club.”

In recent years, Wanderers has become the top-performing women’s club in the Waikato, having broken into the WPL and qualifying for the Women’s National League in 2021 and reaching the final of the Kate Sheppard Cup.

The club’s youth teams have are three-time winners at the Napier U-19’s tournament and they won the Western Springs U-17 tournament in 2019.

The ideal candidate must hold a current NZF B Licence qualification and be legally eligible to work in Newe Zealand.
