Miramar Rangers spoiled the 50th-anniversary party for Napier City Rovers with a 2-1 win at Bluewater Stadium to move into the top half of the Central League table.
After a scoreless first half, Sam Mason-Smith and Ryen Lawrence gave Rangers a two-goal lead before substitute Sam Lack pulled back a goal for the home side.

Meanwhile, in the Lotto NRFL Women’s Championship, Manukau United recorded the first win of their season, beating Te Atatu 4-1 to move into third place.
Tineke de Jong scored an early double for United, while Jasleen Kaur and Ally Toalloa added their other goals.
Angela Byrne scored for Te Atatu.
Full rounds of the Northern League and Lotto NRFL Men’s Championship will be played on Easter Monday.
