Ria Percival to wear captain’s armband in Ferns’ game against the Philippines

Ria Percival will captain New Zealand against the Philippines in Tuesday’s FIFA Women’s World Cup match in Wellington.

Head coach Jitka Klimková has rotated the captain’s armband between her two leaders, after Ali Riley was skipper for the Football Ferns’ 1-0 win against Norway in the opening game at Auckland’s Eden Park.

Klimková has named the same starting line-up from Auckland for the match against the Philippines.

The only change to the squad is the absence of defender Michaela Foster who has been left off the subs’ bench following a slight thigh injury in the lead-up to the match.
