New Zealand Football’s former technical director, Rob Sherman, will be in the opposing dugout when Fiji meet the national U-23 side on Wednesday in the OFC Olympic qualifiers.
Sherman was appointed Fiji’s national coach in May, and he’ll lead the Fijians in their opening game of the tournament at Go Media Mt Smart Stadium at 3pm.

In a pre-match interview, Sherman said:
“We appreciate that New Zealand’s probably the favourite, you know, and as hosts and also as a more experienced International background but it’s a challenge, and we’re excited about that.”
