Winners decided as national U-19 tournaments wind up in Napier

Birkenhead United, Hibiscus Coast and Christchurch United have taken the honours at the 2023 national U-19 men’s and women’s tournaments in Napier.

In the main men’s competition, Birkenhead won the tournament for the sixth time — the most of any club since the tournaments began in 1977 — when they beat Petone 1-0 in the final.

Hibiscus Coast won the women’s tournament for the first time, beating Auckland United 2-1 in their final.

In the men’s satellite tournament, Christchurch United won the final 3-0 against North Shore United.
