Metro seek candidates for two coaching roles for next season

Metro FC are looking to recruit a head coach for their Lotto NRFL U-23 men’s team for 2023.

In its announcement, the club says: “The coach will work closely with the first team coaching staff and Metro FC/ACFC Sporting Director, Kris Bright to help develop the pathway between U-23 and first team football whilst creating a positive team culture and engaging environment.

“This is a great opportunity to work within an environment supported by qualified and experienced coaches.”

The club recently appointed Scott MacKay as its head coach for next season’s Lotto NRFL Premiership campaign.

How to apply

“The successful candidate must hold a NZF C Licence, and be enthusiastic for the role. Metro FC encourages and supports coach development, and will support any further education opportunities within the NZF coaching pathway.”

Metro seeking assistant coach for women’s first team

Metro seeking an assistant coach for their women’s team who will play in the NRF Conferene next year, with ambitions to win promotion to the NRFL Championship.

“We are looking for a motivated assistant coach that is passionate about women’s football and is committed to increasing the strong foundation build this season, as well as continuing to foster development between our first team, possible reserve team, 19th and 16th grade girls’ teams where able.

“This would be a great opportunity for a female coach to progress with a club focussed on the grow and development of women’s football.”

How to apply

Candidates need to hold or be working towards and minimum accrediation of an OFC/NZF C Licence or the international equivalent, and have the right to work in New Zealand.

Metro’s head coach and Director of Football will help the successful candidate achieve accreditation.
