Northern Rovers appoint Daniel Donegan as men’s head coach for next season

Former Glenfield Rovers head coach Daniel Donegan has been appointed to lead Northern Rovers in next year’s Lotto NRFL Men’s Championship.

Donegan (42) will be Rovers’ men’s first-team coach, taking over from Paul Gothard who has been appointed as the club’s full-time director of football.

Donegan coached Glenfield Rovers — who amalgamated with Forrest Hill-Milford United in 2020 to form Rovers — for five seasons, from 2013 to 2017.

In its announcement, Rovers says: “Daniel joins Rovers with a strong history in coaching, having previously won both the Northern League and the first division.

“Daniel is looking forward to working with our exciting crop of young players coming through the club, director of football Paul Gothard, and the existing playing group.

“This is an exciting time for Northern Rovers as we have now locked in a great coaching team across the club for 2024, and we are looking forward to success in both our men’s and women’s senior programmes in 2024.”
