The Wellington Phoenix women will head to Porirua a month earlier than originally scheduled.
The Phoenix have confirmed the women’s fourth-round Liberty A-League match on Sunday November 12 will be played at Jerry Collins Stadium in Porirua Park, after ground staff postponed planned pitch maintenance.
The Nix were due to play at Porirua Park for the first time on Sunday December 10. It will now be their second of six matches at the recently upgraded ground, which was a training venue for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
They will also play at Porirua in late January, mid-February and twice in March.
As announced in mid-October, the Phoenix women’s round 12 match against Central Coast Mariners, originally scheduled for Porirua Park on Saturday, January 13, has been moved to Sydney as part of the A-Leagues’ Unite Round.
