A first-half goal from Poppy O’Brien was enough to carry Auckland United into the semi-finals of the OFC Women’s Champions League with a 1-0 win against Tongan club Veitongo.
The win ensured United finished top of Group B at the eight-club tournament, and will play Vanuatu’s Tafea in Wednesday’s semi-final at the tournament in the Solomon Islands.
