Onehunga Mangere United seek Director of Football and first team coach

Onehunga Mangere United are calling for applications for the roles of Director of Football and men’s first-team coach.

The club says the roles may be combined for the right candidate.

United’s first team will play in the Lotto NRFL Premiership next season (the competition that replaces the first division).

The roles are vacant following the departure of Paul Marshall to Manurewa where he has joined the coaching staff of the newly-promoted Northern League club.

United, who celebrated their 100th anniversary last year, say both roles are key components of the club’s football development programme.

How to apply

The minimum criteria for the role of first-team coach include an appropriate NZF/OFC coaching qualification (minimum of B Licence).

The club says applicants need:

  • High-quality communication and rapport with coaches, players, parents and volunteers.
  • Strong administration, time management and organisational skills.
  • A high level of personal ethics and morals.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively.
