Four Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League clubs will need to overcome lower-ranked teams to progress past the first round of this year’s Kate Sheppard Cup.
They are:
- Tauranga City who need to beat past cup winners Claudelands Rovers.
- Northern Rovers who will travel to NRF Championship side Fencibles United.
- Ellerslie who will host Bay of Plenty side Papamoa.
- West Coast Rangers who face Northland side Onerahi.
The remaining four WPL teams — Eastern Suburbs, Western Springs, Hamilton Wanderers, Auckland United — all get byes to the second round.
